EM DALLARA - SUCESSFUL BROODMARE BY DACAPRIO EM Dallara (Dacaprio/Wolkenstein II) once again produced an elegant colt for breeder/Owner Eliza Rutherford, Foxwood Farm, Charlotte, VT. EM Dallara was the #1 yearling filly in the USDF rankings and was #2 in the country for her Mare Performance Test (overall 8.44 - 8's and 9's on all scores, including jumping).

September 18, 2010 - Our 2009 Filly Daprieke attended her second show (Good Horseman/Collecting Gaits Fall Dressage, Sport Horse Breed Show and Great American/USDF Breeders Championship Southeast Series Final Show, Conyers, GA) and we are so very proud to report a score of 80.6% in "Fillies of 2009" Class and a score of 80.6% in the "Individual Breed Class" from judge Mr. Jos Sevriens. With this high score Daprieke Qualified for the Championships. Many thanks to Andrea Hayden of Prosperity Farms and her associates !
September 11, 2010 - Our 2009 Filly Daprieke attended her first show ( Southern Hospitality Dressage Breeder Classic I, Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Southeast Series Qualifying Shows, Conyers, GA) and won the "Fillies of 2009" Class with a score of 77.3% from judge Barbara Richardson. With this high score Daprieke also Qualified for the Championships and received the "Born in the USA" award. Best of all, Daprieke was relaxed, cooperative, quickly adapted to her new surroundings, and demonstrated an intelligence necessary for the highest levels of competition. DRAGENERO - 2007 GELDING BY DACAPRIO (Dacaprio x SPS Ballerina/Bolero/Wendekreis) Breeder: Dr. Christine Stec, Germany Dragenero was featured in the Hanoverian Winter Auction in Verden. Described as an impressive type. He participated in the 2009 Stallion Licensing and was then in training and was shown by the Husenbeth family, earning 10 victories in advanced level competitons.

"He is showy and expressive. He is light on his feet and will likely be very typey and modern, like his sire. Vivaldi is turning out to be our little prancer! His movement is so light he barely touches the ground. Walk, trot or canter, he just floats foward. He is an energetic colt that knows what he wants and likes to have his own agenda. He is gaining muscle and strenght and we love the way he caries himself, very proud and tall. He is very curious and a bit of a clown. He enjoys his hugs and his grooming. We expect him to mature to 16.2 or so."
"Dacaprio added length of leg and refinement while preserving the strong loing coupling and nice topeline this mare usually throws. We also see some more freedom of movement. This is exactly what we hoped from this pairing. This colt is so light on its feet he simply dances forward, lifting his forehand and siting on his haunches as well as flying changes comes completely naturally to him. He is sensitive and agile but also quiet, sensible and a bit of a teddy bear. Nice straight legs and in great health and is a pleasant young colt to handle. A quality foal by any measure. DEBBIE - CHAMPION YOUNG RIDER GERMAN DRESSAGE HORSE Debbie, a lovely mare by Dacaprio, with sixteen year old rider Datlin Garn, won the Bronze Medal in dressage at the 2009 German-Junior-Championship held in Munich-Riem. A very nice success! The pair missed the silver medal by just a small margin, competing against a large field of top competitors.
Debbie is homebred by her parents and Katalin trained the mare herself.

DICELLO - SUCCESSFUL RIDING STALLION BY DACAPRIO Bridlewood Farm congratulates Dicello, his breeder: Manfred Bamberger, Mandel Germany and rider: Dorothee Schneider on another great victory! Dicello was Champion Stallion at his licensing in Rhineland-Pfalz-Saar. He was recently named Champion stallion from Rheinland-Pfalz and the Landeschampionship (country championship) Dicello received a 8.5 for the canter, rideability/trainablity, conformation and the Fremdridertest (guest rider).
Dicello also placed fourth at the 2009 South-German Championate.

UPDATE! Dark Star Spirit was the high scoring filly at her ISR/Oldenburg Inspection. The inspector, Christian Schacht commented, "She is a modern type, and looks like she is dancing on air.". Scores included an impressive 8.4 for movement and an overall score of 8.2! Congratulations!
Owner Chuck Powers was excited, since this is the first baby he has bred. He praised her for her fabulous bombproof disposition. It's hard to top a good Donnerhall bloodline like Dacaprio's for producing a wonderful temperament.
"Darla" is shown here at one week of age. Her dam is a 14yr old TB mare who was nspected last year by ISR/OLD and entered into their MMB. She's had (1) Holsteiner cross foal by Concerto Grosso last year. Prior to WB breeding program she was used in Kentucky TB breeding and produced (7) TB foals. Two of her foals were purchased and exported to Mexico and are currently running well, her 1999 foal sold at Keenland sale for $80,000. Two of her other foals are currently racing here in the US. Daylight scored an overall 8 in her Mare Performance Test held in Germany. Her scores were: Type-8, Head/Neck/Saddle Position-8, Breed Sex Type-8, Trot-7. She was given 8's in Temperament, Character, Walk and Rideability by the Guest Rider, Judge and Training Leader.
"I think that if you are very, very lucky and patient, the horse of a lifetime may come your way. I was not in the market for a new horse. I was shopping for a new car, when my trainer called me from Germany. He found a young mare that he felt would be perfect for me. With a little "gentle persuasion" I decided I could walk to work and agreed to buy the horse, sight unseen. My trainer was right, my Dacaprio mare is a perfect match for me. She is a perfect size; she has a boomproof temperment and is drop dead georgous.As a long time amateur dressage ride, I have had my ups and downs in the show ring. The first time I showed Daylight in a 3 star, USDF show, she won her class (8's on gaits in each test!). Someone wanted to know if she was for sale, and the judge wrote on her test the she was the best horse in the show!"

"We have a Dacaprio "baby" (actually he is 4 years old) and he is absolutely wonderful. My father purchased him for my sister, Rebecca Bergman.... "Chance" is a wonderful horse. He has now gone to two horse shows and my sister has shown him in the "Baby Green" division (both times the judges have tracked us down and offered to buy him- he is very calm, jumps very well and is a lovely mover). He is a real joy at the barn- tons of personality and very brave. Nothing scares him.
We love the fact that he is a baby and is able to be shown by an amateur. The jumps are just 2'6", but you can see he already has such style."

DACAPRIO 3-YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER - SUCCESS IN SWEDEN! The Riding Tests for 3-year olds in Strömsholm, Sweden was held the first week of May, 2008. The best horse at the large (over 100+ competing) four day Test was the stunning black mare named Florenstern DS (Florencio x Die Diva/Dacaprio/Pik Bube). Her outstanding scores were as follows:

"During the test of the best mares in Sweden held June 8, 2008 she placed wtih the same percentage as the first and second placed mares at 87,8%." Her owner remarks that she was the audience's favorite!

He is a successful competitor with several riding horse victories and high placements. He was praised for his extraordinary gaits.
The 2004 Dacaprio Filly, Dortë Dancing (Dacaprio x SPS Dina/Dressman/Goldfinger) was also invited to participate in this auction.
DARLIN - 2006 FILLY BY DACAPRIO (Dacaprio x SPS Warina/Wolkenstein II/A Jungle Prince) Darlin was invited to participate in the 2006 German Hanoverian Elite Foal and Broodmare Auction and was purchased as a sporthorse prospect.

AHS Elite Mare Dallara is a breathtakingly beautiful mare by the recently imported popular German Hanoverian stallion, Dacaprio. Dallara won her regional foal show in Germany and qualified for the Hanoverian Foal Championships. She was imported in the fall of 2001 and was shown on the USDF breed show circuit in 2002. Dallara was the #1 yearling filly over all breeds in the 2002 USDF Horse of the Year standings!
EM DALLARA-SUCCESSFUL BROODMARE AND COMPETITOR! EM Dallara foaled an incredible filly (pictured at left) in 2005 by Fabuleux (Fabriano/Augustinus XX). EM Dallara was presented to the AHS for studbook approval in 2005 (with a foal by her side) and was Reserve Champion with an excellent overall score of 7.5 at her AHS Mare Inspection!
In 2006, she was Champion of her AHS Mare Performance Test and become an Elite Mare. She was the second highest scoring mare in the country with an unbelievable 8.44 (8's and 9's on all scores!). A BEAUTIFUL STALLION BY DACAPRIO (Dacaprio/Regazzoni/Goldstein) This stallion was selected for the Hanoverian Licensing in Verden, Germany. He was later sold to the United States.
Dacaprio son Braveheart (Dacaprio/Raphael/Pik Koenig/Graphit)was selected for the Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden. In 2005, Braveheart (named for his heart shaped star and his courage over fences) with Daniel Lahmann placed in the Five-Year-Old Jumping Horse Class at the Bundeschampionate (Federal Championships of Young Horses).

Dänenprinz (Dacaprio x Cinderella H/Certus/Don Carlos) was solt to the USA at the 2007 Hanoverian Winter Auction. The elegant black stallion is described as excellent to ride and presents a marvelous walk. He is handy and uncomplicated, an all-arounder and was represented with special recommendation for the hunter market.

EM/SPA Dacapria is by the exceptional dressage sire Dacaprio and out of our distinquished boodmare, SPS Mon Amour. We were thrilled to have EM/SPA Dacapria at Bridlewood since her importaion to the US in October, 2006 and especially pleased to announce the birth of her exquisite filly by Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, Lauries Crusador xx! Her filly, Lorelei B was chosen as the top filly at the large Paxton Farm AHS Inspection and as the Highest Scoring Hanoverian over all horses competing at the MSEDA Breeder's Classic Sept. 13, 2007. At this same show, EM Dacapria was Broodmare Champion and Res. Mare Champion!
In 2006, as a three year old, EMC/SPA Dacapria performed her Mare Performance Test in Germany scoring an overall 7.27. At her German Mare Performance Test, at just three years of age, she received an 8 for her excellent Rideability from the Testing Judge.

Three-year-old, Dactylo recently sold for 30,000 Euro (6th most expensive of 80 horses offereded) at the Oldenburg Winter Auction in Vecta on December 8, 2007. He was purchased as a top dressage prospect by Canadian Olympic rider, Strasser and will be imported to Canada to begin his career in dressage competition.
Comments from the Vecta Winter Auction program: "First class when it comes to type and looks and a 1a score for movements. Absolutely rideable. This is what top dressage horses look like." DIDI LE GRAND - EVENTING CHAMPION BY DACAPRIO In 2006, Didi le Grand with Jan Busch was successful in the Bundeschampionate Class for Event Horses and Daylight with Hendrik Gabel received third place honors at the German Riding Horse Championships in Verden and was nominated for the Bundeschampionate in Dressage.
DiDi Le Grand, stunning 7 year old, won in style the Hartpury CCI* under the talented Italian rider Giovanni Ugolotti finishing on their impressive dressage score of 43.7.
DRAGEN HEART (SHOWN AS BRAVEHEART) 2000 GELDING BY DACAPRIO A successful show jumper, Braveheart competed in the Bundeschampionate for Five-year-old Jumping Horses in 2005 with rider Daniel Lahmann.
DAYLIGHT (RENAMED DALANA) - 2002 MARE BY DACAPRIO (Dacaprio x SPS Ravella/Ravello/Leibniz) Daylight participated in the prestigious 2006 German Hanoverian Elite Auction for riding horses and foals. She is described as the perfect recommendation for ambitious riders, constantly improving in suppleness, power and expression. She was also a winner at a riding horse competition.
Daylight (Dacaprio/Ravallo) was third as a four-year-old at the 2006 German Riding Horse Championships in Verden with rider Hendrik Gäbel which also qualified her for the Bundeschampionate.
Daylight, now renamed DaLana, was purchased as a top dressage prospect by FEI rider, Gina Duran, Topline Training, Livermore, CA and will now be competing in the United States with her new owner.

VALIENT - 2002 DUTCH WARMBLOOD GELDING BY DACAPRIO (Dacaprio x Rasijgje/Montecristo) Owner: Melanie Nevins, Hailey, ID Breeder: L. Martens, Netherlands
Valiant was imported from the Netherlands to the U.S. in 2005 as a 3 1/2-year-old and has been successfully shown as a 4 and 5 year-old. Most recently he placed 7th at the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Dressage Championships (Five-Year-Old Division) at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.
"He consistently scores '8' or higher on his canter. Valient has scores in the high 60's and 70's at First level. Shown once at Second level scoring in the high 60's. Val is currently schooling at Second level and is starting changes and half passes. He is a very uncomplicated horse both under saddle and on the ground."
Hilda Gurney commented at the National Young Horse Dressage Championships in Lexington, "He gets a 9 for willingness." Accoding to his rider, Danielle Thomason, "Val has a wonderful character and is extremely trainable. He is a very confident, non-spooky horse with a fun loving personality. He is more than suitable for a Junior/Young Rider, Adult Amateur and talented enough for a professional."
FBW DEJAVU--4-YEAR-OLD BUNDESCHAMPIONATE WINNER! (Dacaprio/Glückspilz) FBW Dejavu is from Dacaprio's first foal crop in Germany. This exceptional mare was placed second in the Southern German Championships in 2004 and WON the Bundeschampionate (Federal Championships of young horses) in Warendorf, Germany the same year with her rider, Nadine Plaster!
Beyond that, FBW Dejavu won the Bronze Medal at the World Championships of five-year-old dressage horses in Verden, Germany in 2005, and fourth place at the World Championships in the class for six year old dressage horses in 2006! She is currently in advanced dressage training as a FEI dresage prospect and was recenly sold to Great Britain for a sum in excess of $1M Euros.

DEL MUNDO - HANOVERIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER! (Dacaprio/Lungau) Rider: Isabel Bache. Del Mundo was selected by the German Hanoverian Society to compete in the 2005 Hanoverian Championships in Verden where he was the winner--qualifiying him to Represent Hanover for the 2006 German National Championships (Bundeschampionate) in Warrendorf, Germay.
Shortly after winning the Hanoverian Championships in Verden (over all 3 and 4-year-olds competing), Del Mondo was sold Italy to continue his dressage training for the FEI World Championships.
EM DAKOTA - HIGH SCORE CHAMPION EM Dakota (Dacaprio/Wolkenstein II) was awarded scores of 8 for Gaits and 8 for Impulsion and received an Overall 73% by (S) USDF Dressage Judge Anita Owen, earning her the High Point Ribbon over all competitors competing at both the KDA Spring Warm-up Show and the KDA 21st Annual Spring Dressage Show held at the KY Horse Park, May 25-27, 2007 with her Adult Amateur owner/rider, Sheila Adams,Lexington, KY...Judge Anita Owen's comments included "Really nice horse!"

EM DAKOTA - WINNING COMPETITOR & SUCCESSFUL BROODMARE (Dacaprio/Wolkenstein II) Bred in Germany, Dakota received excellent scores at both her Mare Inspection (8's for her feminine Type and for her Walk) and at her Mare Performance Test (8's in Trot and Canter and the excellent score of 8.5 in Rideability as well as 7's for Jumping Technique and Ability). These very good scores in addition to her wins at German Mare Shows (IA Placings) qualified Dakota for her German States Premium Title. SPA Dakaota was imported to the U.S. in 2006 by AHS Breeder, Peg Lansing, Fleur de Lis Hanoverians, Prospect, KY. Peg Lansing bred SPA/EMC Dakota to Bridlewood Farm's Fabuleux (Fabriano/Augustinus xx) via Embryo Transfer in order for SPA/EMC Dakota to continue her career in the show ring with new Adult Amateur owner/rider Shelia Adams.
